Beskrivelse

The Centre for Cultural Psychology is promoting the dialogue between different approaches that focus on the person as a whole, in which embodiment is cultured and culture is embodied through meaningful action. The Centre vision is that knowledge is not following the law of physics: the more it expands the denser it becomes. Along this line, the Centre organises a theoretical and practical workshop to meet the Dialogical Acting with the Inner Partner. A quite unique approach to self-discovery and personality training developed in the context of the Theatre Faculty (DAMU) of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.

The workshop will include practical activities and theoretical discussions by Eva Slavikova, Michal Cunderle, Michaela Raisova, Oskar Babek and Maryana Kozak, from the Department of Authorial Creativity and Pedagogy of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.

The Department focuses on a psychosomatically oriented approach to dramatic culture and creation, to authorship and concept of play. The key disciplines are Dialogical Acting with the Inner Partner, Authorial Reading and Authorial Presentation. The Department also conducts research in cooperation with the Institute for the Research and Study of Authorial Acting.

The method of Dialogical Acting with the Inner Partner focuses on self-discovery, self-acquaintance, self-acceptance and self-fulfilment, on the creation of mind-body conditions for creative communications, on the experience, recognition and study of drama principles and non-objective acting. The implications for research methodology concern the path to understanding, the use of imagination and creativity, methodological rehearsing, investigation, perception, self-attentiveness and discovery.
